Etymology: N.L. masc. n. Eisen, named after Jonathan A. Eisen, professor at University of California, Davis, CA, USA, who played a decisive role in starting the GEBA project; N.L. masc. n. bacter, a rod; N.L. masc. n. Eisenibacter, a rod named after Jonathan A. Eisen.
