Type species: ¤ Endomicrobium proavitum Zheng et al. 2018.
Etymology: Pref. endo- (from Gr. endon, within); N.L. neut. n. microbium, microbe; N.L. neut. n. Endomicrobium, a genus of microbes that occur within (termite gut flagellates).
