Type species: ¤ Frederiksenia canicola Korczak et al. 2014.
Etymology: N.L. fem. n. Frederiksenia, to honour Wilhelm C. Frederiksen, a Danish microbiologist, for his involvement in and contribution to research on the Pasteurellaceae.
