Type species: ¤ Inmirania thermothiophila Slobodkina et al. 2016.
Etymology: N.L. fem. n. Inmirania, arbitrary name formed from the acronym of the Institute of Microbiology of Russian Academy of Sciences (Russian transliteration: Institut Mikrobiologii Rossijskoj Akademii Nauk; INMI RAN), which has made significant contributions to microbiology, particularly in research of sulfur and nitrogen cycles.
