Type species: ¤ Lawsonibacter asaccharolyticus Sakamoto et al. 2018.
Etymology: N.L. masc. n. bacter, a rod; N.L. masc. n. Lawsonibacter, a rod named after Paul A. Lawson, University of Oklahoma, for his many contributions to microbial taxonomy and phylogeny.
