Type species: ¤ Mobilisporobacter senegalensis Mbengue et al. 2016.
Etymology: L. adj. mobilis, mobile; L. fem. Gr. n. spora, a seed and, in biology, a spore; N.L. masc. n. bacter, a rod; N.L. masc. n. Mobilisporobacter, a motile, spore-forming, rod-shaped bacterium.
