Nomenclatural type: ¤ Sterolibacterium Tarlera and Denner 2003.
Etymology: N.L. neut. n. Sterolibacterium, type genus; -aceae, suff. to denote family; N.L. fem. pl. n. Sterolibacteriaceae, the Sterolibacterium family.
