Type species: ¤ Tamilnaduibacter salinus Verma et al. 2015.
Etymology: N.L. n. Tamilnadu; N.L. masc. n. bacter, a rod; N.L. masc. n. Tamilnaduibacter, a rod from Tamilnadu, referring to the place of isolation, the Indian state of Tamilnadu, of the strains.
