Etymology: Non.hong.i.el’la. L. prep. non, not; N.L. fem. dim. n. Hongiella, a name of a bacterial genus; N.L. fem. dim. n. Nonhongiella, not Hongiella, in recognition of the event that Ma-20T had been replaced for about 1 month by a Hongiella strain in the course of new taxon identification, both of these two strains were red pigmented at that time
