Etymology: sar.to’ri.i. N.L. gen. masc. n. sartorii, of Sartor, in honour of Balfour Sartor, Professor of Medicine, Microbiology and Immunology at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, for his outstanding contribution to the understanding of microbial ecology in IBD.
