🧍 Rameshkumar found that the type strain is not available from JCM culture collection and that the type strain he received from the ARS culture collection and from the author who described this species were members of the genus Brevibacillus. Therefore he proposed to place the name on the list of rejected names if no replacement is found within two years (Request for an Opinion, Int J Syst Evol Microbiol 65, 2774). This is a misinterpretation of the Code, and the Request was denied in Opinion 113 because additional information would be needed. That is, the issue could be reconsidered in the future.
