Type species: ¤ Actinomycetospora chiangmaiensis Jiang et al. 2008.
Etymology: N.L. n. actinomyces -etis (from Gr. n. aktis -inos, ray, beam and Gr. n. mukês -êtos, mushroom or other fungus), an actinomycete; Gr. fem. n. spora, a seed and, in biology, a spore; N.L. fem. n. Actinomycetospora, referring to an actinomycete with spore chains.
