Allokutzneria Labeda and Kroppenstedt 2008, gen. nov.
Type species: ¤ Allokutzneria albata (Tomita et al. 1993) Labeda and Kroppenstedt 2008.
Etymology: Gr. adj. allos, other; N.L. fem. n. Kutzneria, a bacterial generic name; N.L. fem. n. Allokutzneria, the other Kutzneria, referring to the fact that it is phylogenetically close to Kutzneria but chemotaxonomically distinct.

Basonym: ¤ Kibdelosporangium albatum Tomita et al. 1993.
Etymology: L. fem. adj. albata, clothed in white, referring to the colour of the aerial mycelium and the non-chromogenicity of the organism.
