Arsenicicoccus Collins et al. 2004, gen. nov.
Type species: ¤ Arsenicicoccus bolidensis Collins et al. 2004.
Etymology: L. n. arsenicum, arsenic; N.L. masc. n. coccus (from Gr. masc. n. kokkos, grain, seed), coccus; N.L. masc. n. Arsenicicoccus, arsenic coccus, because the type species was recovered from an arsenic enrichment.

Note: The noun coccus is a N.L. masc. n., not a L. masc. n. as cited in the paper by Collins et al. 2004.
