→ ¤ Azomonas Winogradsky 1938 (Approved Lists 1980).
Note: New and Tchan 1982 propose to transfer ¤ Azomonotrichon macrocytogenes (Jensen 1955) Thompson and Skerman 1981 (the type species of the genus Azomonotrichon) to the genus ¤ Azomonas as ¤ Azomonas macrocytogenes (Jensen 1955) New and Tchan 1982, comb. nov. According to Rule 37a, bacteriologists adhering to this transfer must change the name Azomonotrichon to ¤ Azomonas.
