Type species: ¤ Chryseoglobus frigidaquae Baik et al. 2010.
Etymology: Gr. adj. khruseos, golden; L. masc. n. globus, ball; N.L. masc. n. Chryseoglobus, yellow ball.
Valid publication: BAIK (K.S.), PARK (S.C.), KIM (H.J.), LEE (K.H.) and SEONG (C.N.): Chryseoglobus frigidaquae gen. nov., sp. nov., a novel member of the family Microbacteriaceae. Int. J. Syst. Evol. Microbiol., 2010, 60, 1311-1316.

Chryseoglobus frigidaquae Baik et al. 2010, sp. nov. (Type species of the genus.)
Type strain: (see also Global Catalogue of Microorganisms) CW1 = JCM 14730 = KCTC 13142.
Sequence accession no. (16S rRNA gene) for the type strain: EF373534.
Etymology: L. adj. frigidus, cold; L. fem. n. aqua, water; N.L. gen. n. frigidaquae, from/of cold water, as the type strain was isolated from a water-cooling system.
