Type species: ¤ Citreimonas salinaria Choi and Cho 2006.
Etymology: L. n. citreum, lemon; L. fem. n. monas, a unit, monad; N.L. fem. n. Citreimonas, a lemon-shaped monad.
Valid publication: CHOI (D.H.) and CHO (B.C.): Citreimonas salinaria gen. nov., sp. nov., a member of the Roseobacter clade isolated from a solar saltern. Int. J. Syst. Evol. Microbiol., 2006, 56, 2799-2803.
