Coriobacteriales Stackebrandt et al. 1997, ord. nov. (Ype order of the class ¤ Coriobacteriia König 2013; type order of the subclass ¤ Coriobacteridae Stackebrandt et al. 1997).
Type genus: ¤ Coriobacterium Haas and König 1988.
Etymology: N.L. neut. n. Coriobacterium, type genus of the order; suff. -ales, ending denoting an order; N.L. fem. pl. n. Coriobacteriales, the Coriobacterium order.
