Defluviitalea Jabari et al. 2012, gen. nov. (Type genus of the family ¤ Defluviitaleaceae Jabari et al. 2012).
Type species: ¤ Defluviitalea saccharophila Jabari et al. 2012.
Etymology: L. n. defluvium, sewage, wastewater; L. fem. n. talea, a rod; N.L. fem. n. Defluviitalea, a rod isolated from wastewater.
