¤ Alcanivorax Yakimov et al. 1998.

Note: Fernández-Martínez et al. 2003 propose to transfer ¤ Fundibacter jadensis Bruns and Berthe-Corti 1999 (the type species of the genus Fundibacter) to the genus ¤ Alcanivorax as ¤ Alcanivorax jadensis (Bruns and Berthe-Corti 1999) Fernández-Martínez et al. 2003, comb. nov. According to Rule 37a, bacteriologists adhering to this proposal must change the name Fundibacter to ¤ Alcanivorax.
