Etymology: L. n. glacies, ice; N.L. masc. n. bacter, rod; N.L. masc. n. Glaciibacter, a rod of the ice.
Valid publication: KATAYAMA (T.), KATO (T.), TANAKA (M.), DOUGLAS (T.A.), BROUCHKOV (A.), FUKUDA (M.), TOMITA (F.) and ASANO (K.): Glaciibacter superstes gen. nov., sp. nov., a novel member of the family Microbacteriaceae isolated from a permafrost ice wedge.
