Type species: ¤ Haloactinopolyspora alba Tang et al. 2011.
Etymology: Gr. n. hals halos, salt; Gr. n. actis actinos, a ray; Gr. adj. poly, many; Gr. n. spora, a seed and, in biology, a spore; N.L. fem. n. Haloactinopolyspora, salt-loving and the many-spored ray.
