Type genus: ¤ Heliobacterium Gest and Favinger 1985.
Etymology: N.L. neut. n. Heliobacterium, type genus of the family; suff. -aceae, ending to denote a family; N.L. fem. pl. n. Heliobacteriaceae, the Heliobacterium family.
