Type species: ¤ Jhaorihella thermophila Rekha et al. 2011.
Etymology: N.L. fem. dim. n. Jhaorihella, named after Jhaorih, or "morning sun" in Chinese, the name of a coastal hot spring on a small volcanic island (Green Island) in the Pacific Ocean, off the eastern coast of Taiwan, the geographical origin of the type strain.

Etymology: Gr. adj. thermos, hot; N.L. fem. adj. phila (from Gr. fem. adj. philê), friend loving; N.L. fem. adj. thermophila, heat-loving.
