Type species: ¤ Longimycelium tulufanense Xia et al. 2013.
Etymology: L. adj. longus, long; N.L. n. mycelium (from Gr. n. myces, fungus) a cell net typical of a fungus; N.L. neut. n. Longimycelium, an actinomycete with long mycelium.

Longimycelium tulufanense Xia et al. 2013, sp. nov.
Type strain: (see also Global Catalogue of Microorganisms) TRM 46004=CGMCC 4.5737=NBRC 107726.
Sequence accession no. (16S rRNA gene) for the type strain: HQ229000.
Etymology: N.L. neut. adj. tulufanense, pertaining to Tulufan, a city in the north-west of China, where the strain was isolated.
