Type species: ¤ Mangroviflexus xiamenensis Zhao et al. 2012.
Etymology: N.L. n. mangrovum, mangrove; L. masc. n. flexus, a bending, turn, curve; N.L. masc. n. Mangroviflexus, a bending (curved) bacterium from mangrove.
Valid publication: ZHAO (C.), GAO (Z.), QIN (Q.) and RUAN (L.): Mangroviflexus xiamenensis gen. nov., sp. nov., a member of the family Marinilabiliaceae isolated from mangrove sediment. Int. J. Syst. Evol. Microbiol., 2012, 62, 1819-1824.
