Etymology: Gr. adj. mikros -ê -on, small, little; L. fem. n. pruina, hoar-frost, rime; N.L. fem. n. Micropruina, fine hoar-frost.

Etymology: N.L. n. glycogenum, glycogen; L. fem. suff. -ica, suffix used with the sense of pertaining to; N.L. fem. adj. glycogenica, pertaining to glycogen, referring to the ability to accumulate glycogen.
