Type species: ¤ Namhaeicola litoreus Jung et al. 2012.
Etymology: N.L. masc; or fem. n. Namhaeum, Namhae, the Korean name of the South Sea in Korea; L. suff. -cola (from L. n. incola), a dweller, inhabitant; N.L. masc. n. Namhaeicola, a dweller of the South Sea in Korea.
Valid publication: JUNG (Y.T.), KIM (J.H.), KANG (S.J.), OH (T.K.) and YOON (J.H.): Namhaeicola litoreus gen. nov., sp. nov., a member of the family Flavobacteriaceae isolated from seawater. Int. J. Syst. Evol. Microbiol., 2012, 62, 2163-2168.
