Etymology: N.L. n. natron (arbitrarily derived from the Arabic n. natrun or natron), soda, sodium carbonate; N.L. pref. natro-, pertaining to soda; L. masc. n. flexus, a bending; N.L. masc. n. Natronoflexus, bending/flexible cells living in soda.
