Orbus Volkmann et al. 2010, gen. nov. (Type genus of the order ¤ Orbales Kwong and Moran 2013; type genus of the family ¤ Orbaceae Kwong and Moran 2013).
Type species: ¤ Orbus hercynius Volkmann et al. 2010.
Etymology: L. masc. n. orbus, orphan.
Valid publication: VOLKMANN (M.), SKIEBE (E.), KERRINNES (T.), FABER (F.), LEPKA (D.), PFEIFER (Y.), HOLLAND (G.), BANNERT (N.) and WILHARM (G.): Orbus hercynius gen. nov., sp. nov., isolated from faeces of wild boar, is most closely related to members of the orders ‘Enterobacteriales’ and Pasteurellales. Etymology: L. masc. adj. hercynius, pertaining to Hercynia, N.L. name of the Harz Mountains, Germany.

Orbus sasakiae Kim et al. 2013, sp. nov.

Etymology: N.L. gen. n. sasakiae, of Sasakia, isolated from the midgut of a butterfly (Sasakia charonda in the order Lepidoptera).
