Pseudaminobacter defluvii Kämpfer et al. 1999, sp. nov.
Type strain: (see also Global Catalogue of Microorganisms) THI 051 = CIP 107185 = IFO (now NBRC) 14570 = JCM 20757.
Sequence accession no. (16S rRNA gene) for the type strain: D32248.
Etymology: L. gen. n. defluvii, of sewage, of wastewater, because the organism was isolated from activated sludge.
Valid publication: KÄMPFER (P.), MÜLLER (C.), MAU (M.), NEEF (A.), AULING (G.), BUSSE (H.J.), OSBORN (A.M.) and STOLZ (A.): Description of Pseudaminobacter gen. nov. with two new species, Pseudaminobacter salicylatoxidans sp. nov. and Pseudaminobacter defluvii sp. nov. Pseudaminobacter manganicus Li et al. 2017, sp. nov.
Type strain: (see also Global Catalogue of Microorganisms) JH-7=KCTC 52258=CCTCC AB 2016107.
Sequence accession no. (16S rRNA gene) for the type strain: KX527726.
Etymology: N.L. masc. adj. manganicus, referring to its association with a manganese mine.
Source: Industrial/agricultural.
Valid publication: LI, J., HUANG, J., LIAO, S. and WANG, G. 2017. Pseudaminobacter manganicus sp. nov., isolated from sludge of a manganese mine. Int. J. Syst. Evol. Microbiol., 67, 1589-1594.

Pseudaminobacter salicylatoxidans Kämpfer et al. 1999, sp. nov. (Type species of the genus.)
Type strain: (see also Global Catalogue of Microorganisms) BN12 = CIP 106963 = DSM 6986.
Sequence accession no. (16S rRNA gene) for the type strain: AF072542.
Etymology: N.L. n. salicylas -atis, salicylate; N.L. v. oxido (from Gr. adj. oxus, sour, acid), to oxidize; N.L. part. adj. salicylatoxidans, oxidizing salicylate, because the organism oxidizes salicylate in an unusual manner.
Valid publication: KÄMPFER (P.), MÜLLER (C.), MAU (M.), NEEF (A.), AULING (G.), BUSSE (H.J.), OSBORN (A.M.) and STOLZ (A.): Description of Pseudaminobacter gen. nov. with two new species, Pseudaminobacter salicylatoxidans sp. nov. and Pseudaminobacter defluvii sp. nov.
