Etymology: N.L. fem. dim. n. Raoultella, named after the French bacteriologist Didier Raoult, Université de la Méditerranée, Marseille, France.

Etymology: L. n. electrum, amber; L. suff. -icus -a -um, suffix used with the sense of pertaining to; N.L. fem. adj. electrica, referring to generation of electricity (electron so called because it first was generated by rubbing amber).
