Etymology: L. adj. roseus, rose-colored, rosy; N.L. n. natron (arbitrarily derived from the Arabic n. natrun or natron) soda; N.L. masc. n. bacter, rod; N.L. masc. n. Roseinatronobacter, pink rod from soda lake.
