Type species: ¤ Swaminathania salitolerans Loganathan and Nair 2004.
Etymology: N.L. fem. n. Swaminathania, after Swaminathan, Indian biologist, the father of the Green Revolution in India.

Etymology: L. n. sal salis, salt; L. part. adj. tolerans, tolerating; N.L. part. adj. salitolerans, salt tolerating.
