Etymology: L. adj. tepidus -a -um, moderately warm, lukewarm, tepid; Gr. masc. adj. amorphos, without form, shape-less; N.L. masc. n. Tepidamorphus, an organism without a distinctive morphology that grows at warm temeratures.
