Terasakiella Satomi et al. 2002, gen. nov.
Type species: ¤ Terasakiella pusilla (Terasaki 1973) Satomi et al. 2002.
Etymology: N.L. fem. dim. n. Terasakiella, named to honour Y. Terasaki, the Japanese microbiologist, who has made many contributions to our understanding of the classification and identification of spiral-shaped bacteria.
