Thermobispora Wang et al. 1996, gen. nov.
Type species: ¤ Thermobispora bispora (Henssen 1957) Wang et al. 1996.
Etymology: Gr. adj. thermos, hot; L. adv. num. bis, twice; Gr. fem. n. spora, a seed and in biology a spore; N.L. fem. n. Thermobispora, high temperature two-spored organisms.

Etymology: L. adv. num. bis, twice; Gr. n. spora, a seed and in biology a spore; N.L. n. bispora, two spores.
