Type strain: (see also Global Catalogue of Microorganisms) SW7=JCM 15506=KCTC 5908.
Sequence accession no. (16S rRNA gene) for the type strain: AB669272.
Etymology: L. adj. lacutosus, lagoonal; L. adj. fontalis, of a spring; N.L. adj. lacunofontalis, the “lagoonal spring”, as the strain was isolated from a hot spring in a coral lagoon.
