Etymology: Gr. neut. n. thium, sulfur; L. masc. n. reductor, one who leads or brings back; N.L. masc. n. Thioreductor, sulfur-reducer.

Etymology: L. part. adj. micans -antis, sparkling; L. gen. n. soli, of the lowest part of a thing, of the bottom, of the ground; N.L. gen. n. micantisoli, from the sparkling seafloor.
