Type genus: ¤ Tsukamurella Collins et al. 1988.
Etymology: N.L. fem. n. Tsukamurella, type genus of the family; L. suff. -aceae, ending to denote a family; N.L. fem. pl. n. Tsukamurellaceae, the Tsukamurella family.
