Ureibacillus Fortina et al. 2001, gen. nov.
Type species: ¤ Ureibacillus thermosphaericus (Andersson et al. 1996) Fortina et al. 2001.
Etymology: N.L. n. urea, urea; L. dim. n. bacillus, a rod, and also the name of a genus of aerobic endospore-forming bacteria (Bacillus); N.L. masc. n. Ureibacillus, a ureolytic aerobic bacillus.
