Type species: ¤ Verrucosispora gifhornensis Rheims et al. 1998.
Etymology: L. adj. verrucosus -a -um, warty; Gr. fem. n. spora, a seed and in biology a spore; N.L. fem. n. Verrucosispora, an organism with warty spores.
