Etymology: Al.lo.sac.cha.ro.po.ly.spo’ra. Gr. masc. pron. allos, other; N.L. fem. n. Saccharopolyspora, an actinobacterial generic name; N.L. fem. n. Allosaccharopolyspora, the other Saccharopolyspora, referring to the fact that genus is phylogenetically close to Saccharopolyspora
