Bounagaea, of Bounaga, named in honour of the memory and untimely death of our late Professor Djilali Bounaga (1931-1980) of the Centre National de Recherche sur les Zones Arides (CNRZA), and also in honour of our Professor Nicole Bounaga-Riveill (CNRZA and URZA) for their broad contributions in teaching and training of researchers in the field of biology in Algeria
