🧍 In the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names, the species Actinomadura pelletieri is cited as Actinomadura pelletieri (Laveran 1906) Lechevalier and Lechevalier 1968, and the reference is the following: Lechevalier, H.A. and M.P. Lechevalier. 1968 in Prauser, H. (editor). The actinomycetales. Sept. 1968. VEB Gustav Fischer Verlag, Jena. pp.393-405. The description of Actinomadura pelletieri was published in the abstracts of the symposium in Jena in 1968. However, the book "The Actinomycetales" was not published by VEB Gustav Fischer Verlag until 1970. According to Rule 25b of the Bacteriological Code (1975 Revision) and (1990 Revision), communication of a new name at a meeting or in minutes of a meeting is not accepted as effective. Consequently, there is an error in the Approved Lists and the correct citation should be Actinomadura pelletieri (Laveran 1906) Lechevalier and Lechevalier 1970.
