Etymology: pseu.do.sa.si’co.la. N.L. fem. n. Pseudosasa, a botanical genus name; L. masc./fem. n. suff. -cola, inhabitant, dweller; N.L. masc./fem. n. pseudosasicola, an inhabitant of Pseudosasa, referring to the isolation of the type strain from Pseudosasa japonica (nominative in apposition)
