Nocardiasulphurea is the correct name if this species is regarded as a separate species (i.e., if its nomenclatural type is not assigned to another species whose name is validly published, legitimate and not rejected and has priority) within a separate genus Nocardia.
The name "Nocardia sulphurea" Oliver and Sinclair 1964 has no effective publication because it has been published in a patent [Rule 25b (5)]. Therefore, this nomenclatural name cannot be revived (Rule 28a) and the citation of Nocardia sulphurea cannot mention the original authors.Publication:
