Type genus: ¤ Acidimicrobium Clark and Norris 1996.
Etymology: N.L. neut. n. Acidimicrobium, type genus of the order; suff. -ales, ending denoting an order; N.L. fem. pl. n. Acidimicrobiales, the Acidimicrobium order.
