Note: According to Vandamme and Coenye 2004 Cupriavidus Makkar and Casida 1987 emend. Vandamme and Coenye 2004 is an earlier heterotypic synonym of the genus name ¤ Wautersia Vaneechoutte et al. 2004. In conformity with Rules 15, 17, 23a, 37a(1), and 42, all species of the genus Wautersia must be reclassified into Cupriavidus.
