Etymology: L. n. persicum, peach; L. fem. n. virga, rod; N.L. fem. n. Persivirga, peach-coloured rod.

¤ Nonlabens Lau et al. 2005

Note: Yi and Chun 2012 propose to transfer Persicivirga xylanidelens O'Sullivan et al. 2006, the type species of the genus ¤ Persicivirga, to the genus Nonlabens as ¤ Nonlabens xylanidelens (O'Sullivan et al. 2006) Yi and Chun 2012, comb. nov. According to Rule 37a, bacteriologists adhering to this proposal must change the name Persicivirga to ¤ Nonlabens.
